Things my 2 year old has taught me

Jacob turns 2 today, and between reveling at how quickly time does indeed pass when you have children and planning his party, I have been thinking about how much I've learned in the last 2 years.
Seriously, how did you start out this tiny?

So here is a list I've made of things that Jacob has taught me over the last 2 years, the good, the bad, and the ugly:

Apparently I’m much funnier than I think I am.
"Coco wowie” is a really fun way of asking what something is.
Though I have a closet full of clothes, I can run out of useful outfits by lunch.
Pushing anything with wheels, anything, is endlessly amusing.  (Apparently so is stirring an empty bowl with a spoon.)
I am way more of a nervous person than I thought I was (and I was pretty nervous before).
Painting is only fun when you blend all the colors together.
There are at least 50 different ways to say “no”.
Running around the house naked whilst yelling “Eeeeeeeeeee!!!” is the best.
It’s okay to be angry or sad, as long as I still hug you and tell you that I am sorry afterwards.
Stuffed animal noses make great sucking toys.
We must completely stop what we’re doing whenever an airplane goes by and revel at its’ magnificence.  (To borrow a line from Louis C.K., “You’re sitting in a chair, in the sky!”)
Sometimes control will be ripped right from me, and I will survive it.
You can wash a stuffed animal inside of a pillow case and it will look and feel almost like new.
I have a very short fuse.
A baby’s world is temporarily small, and I want to protect the vulnerability of that.
You can find letters in anything, from the bath mat to a crack on the sidewalk.
I can efficiently clean up a poop-covered toddler, crib, and floor in a short amount of time.
Just because you ask for something doesn’t mean that you actually want it.
I can be more annoyed, angry, exhausted, scared, and defeated while at the same time being more proud, amazed, sensitive, silly, and content than I ever have in my life.

Happy Birthday, my darling boy.  You've completely changed my world and I wouldn't have it any other way.
Too big, stop growing! ;)

What are some things that your kid(s) has taught you?
