Gah! I can't believe how fast this time is flying by. My little squish is already 4 months old, which means he is doing all sorts of new things now. We've had some good belly laughs, mostly when I put my face really close to his, he is starting to go longer between feedings, and we started our baby swim class.

Us in the pool for the first time since his birth |
It feels like we're starting to settle into a routine. Jacob seems to be adjusting a bit better, and his potty regression is turning itself around. He has been wanting to help out in the kitchen a lot, since he started making his own pb & j sandwiches for lunch a few weeks ago. Now, every time I announce that I'm making a meal, he wants to help. This is both adorable and somewhat challenging when the meal involves hot skillets or no more than one simple step. But it's great having him help out, and I know it's good developmental skills.

Helping make tortilla mini pizzas |
One thing keeping me super busy lately is trying to avoid the flu, which seems to be finding new victims who we have interactions with each week. I feel like a ninja trying to evade this thing, taking more vitamins and more steps to avoid getting sick than I ever have. I really, really, don't want to get sick while taking care of 2 kids, and since Bennett had RSV over the holidays, I am not taking any chances of him getting sick again. My next post will include all the crazy things I'm doing to try and avoid this thing, plus a thrown together recipe for cold-fighting hot cocoa :)
For now, I leave you with a pic of my boys sitting as close as I could get them without Bennett falling into Jacob's lap.
